Introduction:
Certificate Design Foundations is an Certificate level course
designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of
Certificate Design Foundations.Design Foundations is an intensive one-year certificate program that is intended for students who are interested in exploring a career in applied design and communications. This foundation year provides an opportunity to create a competitive and individual design portfolio, demonstrating skills in 2D and 3D design, drawing, life drawing, colour theory, idea development, presentation skills, portfolio development, digital production, design history, and written communication. Students experience a year of goal-setting, guidance, skill development and refinement through a variety of hands-on projects. Students will plan, implement, and present visual communications in a wide range of media. Completion of this studio-based program will effectively prepare students for further education in a variety of programs leading to careers in the design and visual communications fields.Design Foundations tution fee would cost $14163.00 CAD. Living Expenses will cost you $2779.54 CAD.Applicants possessing degrees/diplomas from institutions where the language of instruction was not English will be required to provide test scores as evidence of their English language proficiency. Test scores, if required, would be a minimum of TOEFL iBT 80 with no individual score less than 20); IELTS 6.0 with no bands less than 5.5; CAEL 70 with no sub-test band scores less than 60; PTE Academic 51; Conestoga English Language Test (CELT) Band 5; Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105; Cambridge Exams 170 with no individual skill less than 165, or equivalent scores in other recognized standard tests of English. We offer a language program for students whose English language skills are below the standard required for admission but all other admission criteria have been met. An applicant will be eligible for admission to the program after completion of level 4 of the General Arts and Science - English Language Studies (ELS) program with an overall grade average of 70%. Placement in the ELS program is determined by scores on an in-house
