Students collaboratively engage in three areas: Core Content, Research, and Teaching and Learning. These include a set of core courses, research methods courses, and electives. Students engage in their programs of study based on their research interests and in consultation with their faculty advisor. To meet University requirements for graduation, each student must successfully pass a comprehensive exam and complete and defend a dissertation upon completion of coursework.
